Grace Roningen

Grace Marilyn Carlen Roningen, 87, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN. Grace was born May 18, 1924 in Minot, ND to Edward and Myrtle (Paul) Carlen. She graduated from Park River High School, Park River, ND. She married J.E. Roningen on January 16, 1943 in Fargo, ND. Grace was a homemaker and a member of First Lutheran Church of Fargo. She was an avid bridge player for many years and was a booster of NDSU Athletics. Grace was known as a wonderful cook, a grandmother who spoiled her grandchildren and was proud of her heritage and her family. Grace is survived by her son, Dr. Bruce (Brenda) Roningen, Sarasota, FL; 2 grandchildren, Mrs. William Guggemos, Chanhassen, MN and Mr. Bradley Roningen, Crocker, MO; 3 great grandchildren, Hayden and Elizabeth Guggemos; and Jennifer Roningen. Memorials preferred to the First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Funeral Services will be private.
