Glen Ruben Kopperud was born on July 29, 1924 in Enderlin, ND to Hjalmar and Ida (Thompson) Kopperud. He attended school in Nome, ND. Glen served in the Army during WWII (1944-1946). He lived in Nome, ND until moving to Fargo in 1974. Glen worked for Northern Pacific Railroad and later Burlington Northern Railroad for 36 years, retiring in 1985.

Glen married Elizabeth Glass in 1995. He passed away December 14, 2021 at the age of 97 in Moorhead, MN.

Glen is survived by his brother, Bob (Lillian) Kopperud; sister, Agnes (Ernest) Rodlin; many nieces and nephews, as well as Elizabeth's family: Becky (Tony) Knudson, Sarah (Mark) Lahren, Maribeth (Larry) Nelson, and Steve (Julie) Glass; grandchildren, Medora, Orion, Breah, Bryce, Andrew, Isacc, Evan and Nickole.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Elizabeth; brothers, Clifford (Mavis) Kopperud, Ervin Kopperud, Wendell (Judy) Kopperud, and sisters, Irene (George) Nelson, Gladys (Gordon) Sutton, Selma (Arthur) Bayliss, and Inez (Arvid) Nelson.
