Gladys Wahl

Gladys Wahl, 73, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Gladys Yvonne Schwartz was born January 14, 1935, at Steel, North Dakota, daughter of Chris and Lydia (Strylie) Schwartz. She attended school in Steel and Tuttle, North Dakota. She moved to Fargo, North Dakota, with her parents in 1950. She worked at American Linen Supply for one and a half years; North Dakota State University for two years; St. Luke’s Hospital for three years; and finally, for Cash Wish Foods for ten years until she retired in 2000. Gladys married Wally Wahl November 15, 1952, in Wing, North Dakota. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Wahl, Fargo, ND; and David Wahl Sioux Falls, SD; four grandchildren, Amy, Brianne, Heather and Courtney; two great-grandchildren, Blake and Wyatt; three brothers, Albert Schwartz, Bismarck, ND; Harold Schwartz, Sioux Falls, SD; and Ron Schwartz, Fargo, ND; five sisters, Delores Wagner, Phoenix, AZ; Betty Berg, Menoken, ND; Ruby Schoff, Bismarck, ND; Marcella Plienis, Fargo, ND; and Ida Roebuck, Chandler, AZ; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Lydia Schwartz; and a sister, Sharon Schwartz. Funeral Service: Friday, March 28, 2008, at 2:00 PM, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
