Gladys Lucille Rasmussen, age 103, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Bethany Retirement Home in Fargo, ND.

Gladys was born on April 23, 1912 in Enderlin, ND to Marcus and Minnie (Baker) Maley. She married Lester Chelsey in Lisbon, ND and had two children, Robert and Pearl. In 1950 Gladys was united in marriage to Walter Emil Rasmussen and had one son, Walter Earl. They resided and farmed near Verona, ND and owned the only restaurant in Verona in those days. She was a caretaker of the elderly for many years following the death of her husband Walter.

Gladys was a member of The First Assemblies of God Church in Fargo for many years where she met and made many lifetime friends. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family but the greatest joy of her life was her close relationship with God the Father.

Left to mourn her passing is her son, Walter (Jeanine) Rasmussen of Horace, ND, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, son, Robert and daughter, Pearl, 5 brothers, Jack, Leonard, Donald, Loren, Marvin and sisters Ruth and Mary.
