Geraldine Rae (Marquardt) Schwartz was born July 19, 1929, in Cayuga, ND to Walter and Hazel (Sturdevant) Marquardt. She attended area schools and graduated from Fargo Central.

She married Harry Schwartz and they later divorced. Geraldine did everything for her sons Sam and Jim. She was a very caring mother and would take care of other people before herself. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Fargo.

Geraldine died Wednesday, November 20 at Bethany on University in Fargo.

She is survived by her sons, Samuel and James (Wendy) Schwartz both of Fargo; 3 grandchildren, Heather, Hannah and Hattie; 3 great-grandchildren, Eloise, Lydia and Hugo, with the 4th on the way; brother, Walter Marquardt, Longwood, FL; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Marquardt, Webster, WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lois, and her twin brother Gerald.
