Gerald Berg

Gerald M. “Jerry” Berg, 64, of Marion, TX, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in Texas. Jerry was born September 26, 1944, in Fargo, ND, to Elmer H. and Dolores (Able) Berg. He graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1962, and University of North Dakota in 1966. After graduation, he lived and worked in California for a number of years and then returned to Fargo, where he joined the family business, Berg Fargo Motor Supply. After retiring, he moved to Marion, TX, where he resided until the time of his death. Jerry was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He leaves his family many loving memories. Jerry is survived by his father, Elmer H. Berg, Fargo, ND; brother, Richard (Lilly) Berg, Fargo, ND; sister, Lia Berg, Potlatch, ID; niece, Karen (Steve) Berg-Smith, Larkspur, CA; nephews, David (Sarah) Berg, Austin, TX; Thane Berg, Boulder, CO; and Brandon (Lisa) Lever, Boise, ID. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Berg. Memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church Radio and TV Fund, Roger Maris Cancer Center, Fargo, ND, or charity of donor’s choice. Funeral Service: Saturday, December 13, 2008, at 2:00 PM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
