Genevieve Edwards, 92 died December 13, 2010, at Eventide Living Center in Moorhead, MN. Genevieve was born October 22, 1918, to Jesse and Rose (Dion) Maxson in Devils Lake, ND. She attended and graduated Devils Lake High School. She graduated from NDAC (now NDSU) in 1941. In 1944, she married J. Frederick Edwards in Cambridge, MA. They were married for 63 years. Genevieve was an Administrative Auditor for the Department of the Army at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. She worked for the General in charge of heavy weapons procurement. She and her husband, Fred, lived in Fargo, ND. They also lived in Cambridge, MA, Louisville, KY, Falls Church, VA. Genevieve loved animals, especially horses and spoke fondly of her horse, Topsy, from her days in Devils Lake. She was avid fan of word games and contests and was an accomplished golfer. She won many awards in her duckpin bowling league and she remained a loyal fan of the Baltimore Orioles. Her family motto was, “We take care of our own”. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents; her sisters, Verna Walker and Lila Richman; her brothers, Clifford Maxson, Anthony Maxson, Raymond Maxson and Darrel Maxson; her nephews, Kenneth Maxson and Lynn Walker and her niece, Judy Maxson Schmidt. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Richard Maxson, Duane Maxson, Patricia (Maxson) Morrell, Geraldine (Maxson) Kennedy, Janice Maxson, Joan (Maxson) Syverson, James Maxson, James Richman, Susan Richman, Kathy Richman, Robert Maxson, Raymond Maxson, Michael Maxson and Carol (Maxson) Splonspowski. Memorial Service: Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the El Zagal Shrine, Fargo, ND
