Gary W. Anderson, 70, of Perham, MN, formerly of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Sanford Health, Fargo.

Gary Wayne Anderson was born December 25, 1941 in Fargo, ND to William and Delores (Illgen) Anderson. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1959. In 1963 he married his high school sweetheart, Joanne Felix. They made their home in Fargo, where they raised their two children.

In 1962 Gary began his career at the Fargo Forum, where he worked until his retirement in 2001.
He enjoyed spending time with family at their lake home in Perham, MN.

Gary is survived by his wife; children, Brenda (Rick) York, Argusville, ND, and Mark Anderson, Perham, MN; sisters, Lori (Sonny) Whisman, Fargo, ND, and Rachel (Clark) Jones, Greensboro, GA; grandchildren, Shawna (Justin) Cole, Chris York, Amanda York, Shawn Anderson, Justin Aldrich, Ryan Anderson; great-grandchildren, Lexi Marthaler, Morgan Cole.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Keith Anderson.
