Frieda Burkhardt, 91, of Fargo, ND, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Villa Maria in Fargo.
Frieda Schlittenhardt was born July 7, 1923 in Ukraine to Johannes and Katharina (Bechtold) Schlittenhardt. On November 26, 1949, she married Oskar Burkhardt in West Germany. In 1952, they immigrated to the United States with their two children. Together they lived in Fargo, where Freida was a homemaker. Her husband, Oskar, died in 1973.
Frieda was an active member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Fargo. She was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, her husband, and family.
Frieda is survived by her children, Robert (Lisa) Burkhardt, Lincoln, NE; Waltraut (Ervin) Wolff, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Joseph (Kimberly) Burkhardt, Kami (Steve) Pederson, Heidi (Taylor) Calmus, and Andrew Burkhardt; four great-grandchildren; brother, Johannes Schlittenhardt; and sister, Rosa Sigart.
She was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Adam Burkhardt; parents; two brothers; and four sisters.
