Frank Suppa

November 11, 1915 — October 11, 2009

Frank Suppa - Born November 11th, 1915, to Bruno and Grace Suppa, a man that ultimately touched many lives. This past Sunday, October 11, 2009, God called Frank back to his glorious kingdom just shy of his 94th Birthday. Frank was born in Fargo, North Dakota, and he took great pride in calling himself a life long Fargoan with a special fondness for New York City. A veteran of World War II as a member of the Military Police, he was honorably discharged at the end of the war, a milestone for which he was very proud. On returning to Fargo, Frank was taken by a very attractive young woman and on August 14, 1947, he married the one and only true love of his life, Ledene. Thus began the next stage of his life, that of devoted Husband, a role he cherished until concluding with his last “nite-nite honey” on Saturday evening. In 1948 he became a partner of Ingbergs Upholstery of Fargo with Norm Johnson and Ted Weyland with whom he worked for 45 years. Frank was predeceased by brothers Jim, Sam, Tony, Joe, Bill and sister Genevieve. He is survived by wife Ledene, daughter Andria Kragnes (Allan) of Kansas City MO, sons Frank (Lon) of Minneapolis and David (Patti) of Fargo. Grandchildren Christopher Kragnes (Tiffany), Kaitlyn and Robert Suppa and, great-grand children Christopher Kragnes Jr., and Alicia Kragnes , also survived by brother Tom. The family extends their sincere and grateful appreciation to all members of the Hospice of Red River Valley and staff of Villa Maria Nursing Home. Frank Suppa, a man who lived life to the fullest, was a son, father, business owner, war veteran, Post Commander of the American Legion in 1973, served on the Veterans Administration Volunteer Services twenty years, brother, friend, grandfather, great-grandfather, volunteer, great and honorable man, man of his word, but most important to him, and the only title that truly mattered, was that of Husband to the girl he loved everyday, Ledene. “Nite-Nite Frank” while you are gone you will never be forgotten.
