Florence Finke, 85, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at her home, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Florence Mae Stenbro was born August 1, 1928 in Griggs County, ND to Lawrence and Ida (Hogenson) Stenbro. She grew up on the farm in rural Griggs County, and later moved with the family to Cooperstown, ND, where she attended school until moving to Fargo.
She married Clayton P. Finke on August 8, 1946.

Florence was a member of the West Fargo Women’s Auxiliary. She worked at the Fargo Café, West Fargo Stockyards Café, and later as a sales clerk at the Union Stockyards Sales Arena until she retired in 1999 following Clayton’s death.

Florence is survived by sons, Phillip T. (Deanna) Finke, Henderson, NV; Paul W. (Sherri) Finke, Fargo, ND; daughter, Phyllis M. Finke, Fargo, ND; brother, Arthur Stenbro, Great Falls, MT; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Clifford and Raymond Stenbro; sisters, Irene Stenbro and Karleen Johnson; and an infant brother and sister.
