Evelyn H. Mathson, age 97 was born January 29, 1925 in Kulm, North Dakota to Henry and Helga (Thoreson) Bjornstad.
She graduated from Kulm High School and went on to attended college in Valley City, North Dakota. After graduating college she worked for the Fargo Public Schools at South High School as an Administrative Assistant for 19 years, retiring in 1987.
She married James Werre in 1946 and had had two sons, Bob and Jim Werre.
In 1986 she married James Mathson of Edgeley, North Dakota. Gaining Wayne, Jerry, Jeff and David Mathson as her step-children.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Werre (Jan), James Werre (Susan), stepsons Wayne Mathson (Jan), Jerry Mathson (Deann), Jeff Mathson (Jayne), David Mathson (Lori) along with her ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim Mathson and her brother Lawrence Bjornstad of Stockton, California.
