Evelyn J. Anderson, 90, Fargo, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Evelyn was born July 19, 1927 in Hatton, ND, the daughter of Knut and Clara (Smestad) Eken. She married Milton Anderson on October 14, 1948 in Hatton, ND. They resided in Mayville, Casselton, Grand Forks, Warren and Fargo before moving to Jamestown in 1970. Since July 2002 Evelyn has made her home in Fargo.

Evelyn worked various jobs while raising her family, banquet worker, sales associate at Tempo in Jamestown and finished her career managing a Stop-N-Go Store in Jamestown.

Evelyn enjoyed baking, reading, playing cards, time at the lake, but most of all, spending time with her family, always offering coffee and homemade goodies.

Evelyn is survived by children, Barb (Don) Grant of Fargo, Kyle (Charlotte) Anderson, of Fargo, Steve (Sue) Anderson of Fargo, Scott (Roberta) Anderson of Jamestown, Mary (Steve) Redlin of Buffalo, MN, Marcia (Dave) Munson of Mankato, MN; fifteen grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Caroline Tunseth, Mayville, ND; brother, Kenneth (Lorraine) Eken, Mayville, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; her parents; one infant son; one grandson and four brothers.
