Obituary

Evan Woodrow-Fischer, a beloved son, grandson, brother, and friend, left this world too soon on August 27, 2026, at the age of 24 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on August 15, 2002, in Dickinson, North Dakota, Evan's life, though brief, was filled with love, joy, and kindness that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Evan grew up surrounded by a caring family and spent most of his formative years in Fargo, North Dakota. He attended Kennedy Elementary, Discovery Middle School, and Woodrow Wilson High School. For a short time, he also attended Napoleon High School.

Evan has worked at Taco Bell as a shift lead for the past two and a half years where he was highly respected by his co-workers and the leadership team. His calm and compassionate nature made him not only a capable leader but also a dear friend to many. Evan had a unique ability to bring people together and foster a sense of camaraderie among those he worked with.

Evan’s kindness was his hallmark, a quality that endeared him to everyone he met. He had a special way of making others feel valued and appreciated. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories of his gentle and warmhearted spirit. Evan was also a loving “cat dad” to Crow and Killua.

He is survived by his loving parents, Julie Fischer (Jeff Moss) of Fargo, ND, and Dusty (Lacy) Woodrow of Napoleon, ND; his siblings, Ally Fischer, Kenedy and Olivia Nelson, Owen and Isaac Woodrow, and step-brothers Chase Nelson and John Moss; grandparents, Alicia Fischer of Bismarck, ND, Sharon and Jerry Henrikson of Florence, AZ, Loren Woodrow of Belfield, ND, and Sheila Friestad of Kintyre, ND; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was also survived by his special friend Tina, along with numerous friends and coworkers who loved him dearly. Evan was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Fischer and Doug Friestad.

A celebration of Evan’s life will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, located at 215 7th Street S, Fargo, ND. Family, friends, and all whose lives Evan touched are invited to join in remembering and honoring his journey through life. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5pm-7pm, with a prayer service to follow at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Soul Solutions Recovery Center, an organization that reflects his commitment to helping others. Through these donations, Evan's spirit of generosity will continue to make a positive impact.

Evan will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His life serves as a reminder that even in the short time he was with us, his kindness and love made our world a better place.
