Emily Kulenkamp passed away peacefully on April 21, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born on September 29, 1925 in St. Paul, MN to Edgar and Catherine Shave, she attended Murray High School and the University of Minnesota. Emily married the love of her life, Dean Kulenkamp, on June 12, 1948 and together they raised three children: Larry, Ann and Amy.

She was a wonderful wife and mother: caring, gentle and strong; spiritual and progressive-minded, with a strong sense of social justice. Plus, she was a passionate Vikings and Twins fan!

Emily is survived by Dean, her husband of 68 years; son Larry Kulenkamp (Maryann Erdmann); daughters Ann Kulenkamp (John Wilson) and Amy Richardson (Jay); grandson Bryce Richardson (Anna Morales); sister Edna Ethen (Dave); and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Cathy and Dorothy.
