Edna Marion Luoto was born October 22, 1919 at Fullerton, ND to Matt and Fannie (Krapu) Luoto. She grew up on the family farm near Fullerton. She graduated High School there in 1939. Edna married Emil Kelly, May 22, 1943 in Moorhead, MN. They moved to Fargo in 1944 and Edna graduated from Chicago Hair Dressing Academy. Edna worked for Koppleman’s and later owned and operated Kelly’s Beauty Shop.

Edna was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Fargo for many years. She loved music, audio books, reading and painting.

Edna died January 28, 2014 at the Arbor Park Living Center in Moorhead, MN at the age of 94.
Edna is survived by her son, Monte (Karen) Kelly, Fargo, ND; daughter, Chloe (Lee) Johnson, Marion, IA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Oster, Medon, TN; Ellen

McCauley, Surprise, AZ; and Elizabeth Estenson, Fargo, ND.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil; and grandson, Daniel Johnson.
