Edmund “Ed” Faber died July 13, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of laughs, service, and love of family.
Born July 15, 1951 in Bismarck, North Dakota, Ed spent most of his life in his home state of North Dakota. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Ed cherished his military service and remained connected to the veteran community throughout his life. One of his most treasured memories was participating in the Veterans Legacy Flight to Washington DC, a journey that had great meaning for him.
Ed was a dedicated member of the United States Military Veterans Motorcycle Club (USMVMC) where he found camaraderie and purpose. Through this group he gave countless hours of volunteer work, ready to lend a hand or a story to lift spirits.
Those who knew Ed will remember him best for his sense of humor and gift of storytelling. His stories were full of light, mischief and heart and left his family and friends in stitches. Ed’s legacy of service, laughter and family will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
Ed is survived by his wife, Loretta Faber; and his siblings, Theonita Faber Mcfarland, Kim Zwingelberg (Dale), Craig Faber (Sharon), Elton Faber, Cindy Nevland (Jens), and Aaron Faber (Amy). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
He will be buried at the National Veterans Cemetery.
