Eddie Lane Bowden

December 30, 1952 — September 15, 2025

Eddie Lane Bowden, 72, of Fisher, Minnesota, passed away on September 15, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota, surrounded by family.

He was born on December 30, 1952, in Greenville, Alabama, to Ina Mae and Terry Lee Bowden. Eddie served in the United States Army near the end of the Vietnam War.

On August 23, 1986, he married Kathleen, and together they made their home in Fisher, Minnesota. For 36 years, Eddie worked at Ross Seed Co. Though his title was “maintenance,” coworkers knew him as the person who could fix anything, find what was needed, or lend a hand without hesitation.

Eddie was active in his community, serving as Mayor and City Council member for 16 years. He also volunteered as a firefighter, first responder, and was a proud member of the Fisher American Legion.

Above all, Eddie was devoted to his family. He will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and strong work ethic.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen; his children, Terry, Lisa (Carroll), Jimmy, Jessica (Brian), Matthew, James (Amanda), John, and Michael; his grandchildren, Tony, Brittany, Amanda (Brian), Stephanie, Jaye, Bryanna (Terry), Matthew (Lexi), Khloe, Holly, Harley, Madyson (Isreal), Wesley, and Emalee(or as Ed would call her, Scooter); great-grandchildren, AJ, Molly, Jaxson, Gemma, Charlie, Tayah, Jett, Bruce, Kameryn, Addy, Rowyn, Atlas, Diago, Allison and Rosy. Along with his brother Teddy, sister Merry, daughter-in-law Jody, and many nieces and nephews.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Ina Mae and Terry Lee; his brothers, Paul and Phillip; his sister, Betty; and his grandparents.

In accordance with Eddie’s wishes, his ashes will be scattered at a private family ceremony. A gathering to celebrate his life is being planned for the summer of 2026, with details to be shared as the date approaches.

The Lord is compassionate and gracious,

slow to anger, abounding in love.

He will not always accuse,

nor will he harbor his anger forever;

he does not treat us as our sins deserve

or repay us according to our iniquities.

Psalm 103: 8-10
