Dula M. Bishop, 85 of Fargo, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Sanford Health in Fargo.
Dula Clark was born December 2, 1928 in Tower City, ND to parents Roy C. and Mary Maude (Barkley) Clark. She grew up in Tower City and graduated from high school there. Dula married Keith B. Bishop on September 5, 1947 in Fargo, ND at First Presbyterian Church.
Dula attended business college and began a career in interior design. She worked for Leo Johnson furniture for ten years and for seven years at Simons before starting her own business, Interiors by Dula. She retired in 1994. Dula loved to travel and go on family camping trips. She also enjoyed spending time at Lake Eunice, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of many organizations including the Soroptimist International in Moorhead, Eastern Star Orpah and Mecca Chapter, the St. Andrew’s Society and the El Zagal Shrine Widows Club. Dula’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dula is survived by her daughters, Catherine Bishop (Paul Campbell) of Sioux City, IA, Mari Krag of Fargo, ND, and Sherry Thompson (Paul Kaufman) of Detroit Lakes, MN; grandchildren, Jon (Laura) Hoag, Aimee (Dave) Sutherland, Stacy (Keith) Heinlein, and Matt (Katherine) Thompson; along with 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Keith; brothers Ralph, William, and Cecil Clark; and son-in-law Steve Krag.
Memorials are preferred to Shriners Hospital for Children.
