Donna Marie Nelson, 85, Fargo, ND passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Villa Maria, Fargo, ND.
Donna Marie Law was born December 3, 1932 in Luverne, ND to Gilbert and Olga (Stoleson) Law. She graduated from Sanborn, ND High School. She married Guy C. Nelson on November 11, 1951 in Valley City, ND. They lived in Pensacola, FL and Valley City, ND before moving to Fargo, ND in 1954.
Donna provided loving care for over 100 babies with Lutheran Social Services and later daycare for neighborhood children and grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND.
Survivors include her children, Carol Nelson, West Fargo, ND, Bruce (Colleen) Nelson, Fargo, ND, and Kathy Kelly, Crookston, MN; six grandchildren, Robert Sanden (Amber Nordling), Lisa Sanden (Mike Schweitzer), Tyler (Jessica) Nelson, Tony (Kaitlyn) Nelson, Sean Kelly, and Brady Nelson; six great-grandchildren; brother, Willie (Pat) Law, Finley, ND, and sister-in-law, Roberta Law, Little Falls, MN, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy; infant daughter, Connie; parents, Gilbert and Olga Law; brothers, Lloyd, Rusty, Bud and Ray Law.
Because of the fine care Donna received, memorials are preferred to Roger Maris Cancer Center, Villa Maria, and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
