Donna Lewis, 81, of Fargo, ND, passed in the company of her family on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Bethany Homes, Fargo, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and cirrhosis. Donna Pauline Halliday was born February 24, 1927 to William and Mary (Sours) Halliday in Lisbon, ND. She graduated from Oak Grove High School in Fargo in 1945 and later that year married Wallace Lewis on September 16. She raised two sons and a daughter. Donna worked for the Musicians Union and the Model Cities Program as a secretary, and as a library aid in the Fargo Public School System. Donna enjoyed crocheting, gardening and embroidery. Donna is survived by her husband, Wallace, of 63 years; one son, William (Andrea) Lewis, Jamestown, ND; one daughter, Tammy (Paul) Thompson, West Fargo, ND; one daughter-in-law, Vickie Lewis, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Erik Lewis, Aaron (Jessica) Lewis, Paula Coppin; and one great-grandchild, Kali Coppin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Bradley Lewis. Memorial Service: 10am, Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Elim Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
