Donald Wickstrom

Donald Wayne Wickstrom, 80, of Fargo, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. Don was born August 25, 1929 to Herman and Hulda Wickstrom. He was baptized and confirmed at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church in Fargo. He went through the Fargo School system and graduated from NDSU in 1952 with a degree in Business and an infantry commission in ROTC. On December 27, 1952, Don married Nellie Dickerson. Don went to work for Insurance Services Office for 34 years and retired as senior engineer and actuary. He and Nellie spent their retirement years at the lake in the summer and in Florida in the winter. Don entered Elim in March of 2008 after suffering a stroke. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nellie who resides at Elim in Fargo, daughter Marcia (Jamie) Goodyear of Fargo; son-in-law Ken (Teri) Miosek of Frazee, grandchildren Jacob Miosek, Joshua Miosek, Jordan Miosek, Kylene Miosek, Michael Miosek, Henry Miosek, Sonja Miosek, Elijah Miosek, Jessie Miosek, and Casey Goodyear. Don was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Laurie Miosek. Funeral: Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 10:00 AM at Elim Care Center Chapel, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at Elim Care Center. Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MN.
