Donald Lee Peterson, 74, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Don was born on January 2, 1951, in Crosby, ND, to Donald and Marcella Peterson and grew up in Fargo. He graduated from Fargo South High School in 1969 and graduated from college and law school at the University of North Dakota. Don practiced law for many years in Minot, ND, before moving back to Fargo.

Don is survived by his children, Emily (Jerry) Schneider of Fargo, Andrew (Laura) Peterson of West Fargo, Meghan (Jamie) Blinn of Papillion, NE, and Amanda (Nathan) Carlson of West Fargo; 12 grandchildren; sister Patricia (Brian) Sandness of Menomonie, WI; and his life partner Roxane Case and her children and grandchildren.

Don was an avid reader, history buff, and fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time at the lake, spending time with his family, and traveling with Roxane.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
