Dennis Hermen was born August 10, 1944 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Harold and Thelma Hermen. He was raised in Sterling, Colorado, and graduated from Sterling High School in 1962. He joined the Army and served 2 years in Germany. He was very proud of his time in the service. He married Paula Runestrand in Fargo, ND in 1966. It was in Fargo where they raised their family.

Dennis was employed by Francis Petersen Auto and Muscatell Automobile until his retirement in 2006.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Roger and Ed; and sisters, Sharon and Sandra.

He leaves behind his wife, Paula; sons, Mark (Jennifer) and Trent (Renae); daughter, Jill; 2 grandchildren, Rebecca and Alex; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service in his honor will be held Friday, October 14 at 11:00 am at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Fargo National Cemetery.
