Deborah M. Kolness

Deborah M. Kolness 63, Fargo died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Bullhead City, AZ. Deborah was born May 28, 1948 in Ada, MN to Al and Marge Johnson. She grew up in Ada and graduated from Ada High School in 1966. She also attended St Luke’s Nursing School. She married Thomas Kolness on April 10, 1970. She received her social work license in 1989 and worked as case manager at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo. After retiring, Deb loved doing crafts, playing bingo and spending time with her children. She loved going to Texas for the winter months. She loved all animals. She was diagnosed with cancer in January, 2010 She is survived by her husband, Thomas, two children, Christopher Kolness, Moorhead, MN and Kelly Kolness, Fargo, ND; mother-in-law, Mildred Kolness; brothers, Dave and Sam Johnson and many wonderful nieces and nephews; loveable companion, her Chihuahua, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Sherman Kolness and brother-in-law, Billy Kolness. Memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or Fargo Humane Society. Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Inurnment: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
