Dean Wendel died on October 21st 2012 at Villa Maria nursing home surrounded by his family.
Dean was born on June 18th, 1944 in Moorhead, MN to Reinhold and Sarena (Gossell) Wendel. He was a 1962 graduate of Fargo Central High. In 1965 he married Sandy Lenssen atLitchville, ND. They resided in Fargo, ND where Dean worked at Consolidated Freightways and later sold real estate.
Dean is survived by his wife Sandy; daughters, Janet Wendel, Fargo, ND; Sara (Dave) Wolf, Brandon, MN; Lora (Al) Schoepp, Fargo, ND; and Ann (Brandon) Gustafson, Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren, Melinda Wendel, Jacob, Brandi, and Holly Wolf, Hannah, Leah, Isaiah, Josiah, Rebekah, and Elijah Schoepp, Daniel and Abigail Gustafson; his mother, Sarena Wendel, Fargo, ND; brothers, Lowell (Janice) Wendel, Grand Forks, ND; and Gary (Bonnie) Wendel, Williston, ND; nieces and a nephew.
