Obituary
Dean "Pinky" Rath sadly left us after a short illness August 9, 2024.
Dean was the son of Lyle and Alice Rath, He grew up and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1970. In his youth he was actively involved in Scouts, achieving the highest honor of Eagle Scout. He worked over 20 years for the BNSF Railroad.
Dean loved being out in nature and sitting by a campfire listening to his music, especially the Grateful Dead.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Ty, and sister-in-law, Cindy Rath. He is survived by his brother Darryl (Rusty), Roseau, MN, sister, Penny Gunderson (Mike), Fargo, life long friends, Bob and Michelle Edenborg, Fargo, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering to celebrate Pinky's life will take place at MB Johnson Park in North Moorhead on August 24, from 2-4:20 PM, rain or shine.
