Chris passed away Tuesday morning, June 16, after a long battle with ALS, surrounded by his family, at his home on the lake.

Chris was born in Fargo, ND on March 29, 1952 to Anne and Abner Selvig. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from college at NDSU.

Chris married Kay Hebert June 29, 1979. They raised their 2 daughters, Lindsey and Nancy in Fargo. He and his wife moved to Tamarac Lake in 2002. His love of the lake was in his blood; he had been going to the lakes since he was born. Chris had such a great love for his family, friends, and all dogs. He was also an avid NDSU fan.

Chris is survived by his wife, Kay; daughters, Nancy Selvig and Lindsey (Dan) Duff; granddaughter, Charlotte; his brother, David (Bonnie) Selvig; and all of his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Anne and Abner Selvig, and his sister, Judy.

No memorials please, due to the outpouring of generosity from family and friends for the Benefit that was held for Chris in November 2013. Chris would like it if you would please wear some color to the funeral.
