Charles R. Ross, 60, of Fargo, ND, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at his home in Fargo. Charles Richard Ross was born May 22, 1947, in Fargo, North Dakota, son of Charles L. and Myrtle (Sliper) Ross. He grew up in Fargo and attended school, graduating from Oak Grove High School in 1966. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1966-1971, as a jet aircraft mechanic. He served one year of duty in Vietnam. After his discharge, Charles enrolled in the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota. He graduated with a degree in Environmental Systems Design. Charles worked for Northwestern Iron and Metal in Wahpeton for 10 years. He moved back to Fargo, in the early 80’s. He most recently worked for Community Living Services. Charles is survived by his brother, Michael (Vicky) Ross, Hawley, MN; two nephews, Samuel Ross, serving with the Minnesota National Guard in Iraq; and Joel Ross; and one niece, Kaitlin, both of Hawley, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two infant brothers. Memorial Service: Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 10 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
