Caryl Jean (Buth) Hansen, of West Fargo, North Dakota, passed away on April 11, 2026 with her husband by her side. While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her parents. Caryl was born on August 10, 1951.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was married to the love of her life, Dennis “Denny” Hansen, for 57 years. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and unwavering commitment to one another.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, Jamie (Lisa) Hansen and Todd (Ines) Hansen; her beloved grandchildren, Chaz (Erin), Mariya (Eric), Darian, Jenna; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Bailey and Elowyn. She is also survived by her brother, Steve; along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Caryl was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Loyola “Peg” Buth.

Caryl will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, her competitive nature, and her incredible work ethic. Caryl worked at UPS and Classic Roadsters before ending her career with 20 years of nursing, a profession she loved. She created beautiful quilts and it brought her great joy to give them to the people she loved. She brought energy and laughter wherever she went and had a way of making everyday moments special. Her strength, humor, and love for her family will live on in all who knew her.

A service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home 215 7th Street South, Fargo ND 58103. Visitation 1pm to 2pm. Funeral Service 2pm.
