Carolyn Thorp was born in Williston, ND on July 14, 1954 to Donald and Betty Thorp. She grew up in Carpio, ND and graduated from Minot High School. She has resided in Fargo, ND for over 25 years. She has lived in the Highrise apartments on her own for over 20 years. She has been a faithful volunteer at Pontoppidan Lutheran. Don and Betty helped Carolyn to be as independent as she could be and was successful all these years. She knew the Fargo Bus/Transit system better than anyone. She loved the Fargo RedHawks, Minnesota Twins and Vikings and knew better than to call her during a game. This was a love she shared with her dad.

Carolyn is survived by her mother Betty, Fargo; sister’s Lynn, Fargo; Becky, Sioux Falls, SD; and brother Peter, Carpio, ND. She is also survived by uncles Earl and Richard Thorp, Minneapolis, MN; Aunt, Gertrude Larsen, Minneapolis, MN, numerous cousins and lifelong friends.
