Byron Ray Walukievicz died peacefully holding the hands of his wife and daughter on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Essentia Hospital.

Byron was born on Valentine's Day, 1961, in Fargo, ND, and graduated from Fargo South High, Class of '79. He married Lezlie Nichols on February 28, 2020, in Fargo and they later moved to Detroit Lakes.

He worked various jobs and acquired many friends through the years. His favorite pastime was spent at the racetrack with some of his favorite people.

Byron is survived by his wife, Lezlie; daughters, Amber Maxwell and Ashley Roquette; sister, Laurie Boe (Marty Urlaub); and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Verna Neubarth.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
