Bob G. Davis was born December 4, 1930 to parents Lela (Suhumskie) and Lawrence E. Davis, at home in Lisbon, ND. At age 10, he and his family moved to Fargo, ND, where he graduated from Fargo Central High School.

Bob married Carol Ann Nydahl on October 12, 1951. They made their home in Fargo, where they raised three daughters. Bob began his career at Dakota Photographics before he graduated high school and worked as a Film Compositor and Foreman until his retirement.

He enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, playing card games, and reading the Bible. Bob was very active in church activities for 49 years at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church. He especially enjoyed church functions, picnics, traveling, and visiting with little children.

Bob married Elizabeth Irene (Lura-Marweg) Davis on May 1, 2010 and they had just celebrated their 4th anniversary. She resides in Fargo.

Bob passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the age of 83 due to complications after surgery.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Cindy (Paul) Fillner of Portland, OR, and Jody (Ken) Schonberg of Brooklyn Park, MN; sister, Betty (Mike) Mickelson of Fargo, ND; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four stepsons, along with their wives and families; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky in 2008; wife, Carol in 2009; and siblings Neal Davis, Dale Davis, Arlo Davis, Lorraine (Davis) Scott, Deane Davis, and Dennis McFarlen.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
