Blanche Louise Jacobson Disher, 92, of Fargo, ND died July 24, 2017. Blanche was born at Churchs Ferry, ND February 13, 1925 the daughter of Walter and Helene (Hillerman) Jacobson.
After graduating from Churchs Ferry High School in 1942 she joined the National Youth Association at Grand Forks, ND learning how to operate machinery to make parts used in World War II. After training she worked in “Sims Factory” making bomb-adapters. She then worked for “Swim Masters” making life belts for the service men. She graduated from Minot State Teacher’s college in 1945 and taught school at Towner, ND for three years.
In 1948 she married William Disher from Hansboro, ND. They moved to Fargo where she did some substitute teaching and homebound teaching for Fargo Public Schools. Blanche was actively involved in the DAV Auxiliary.
Blanche is survived by three sons; David(Nikki) in Eloy, AZ, Kenneth in Minot, ND, Gregory in Austin, TX; three granddaughters, Karen (Clark), Abby (Mitchell), and Delaney and two great- grandsons, David Clark and Owen Clark.
Preceding her in death were her husband William, her parents, three brothers; Merle(Olga), Howard(Lois Ann) and Robert(Beverly); two sisters: Lois(Tommy) and Alice(Clayton).
