Beverly Luverne Wolter, 94, of Fargo, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Bethany Retirement Living on University, Fargo, ND.
Beverly Luverne (Vangerud) Wolter was born March 1, 1921 to Ingvald and Betsy (Gaard) Vangerud in Fargo, North Dakota. She attended public schools in Fargo, graduating from Central High School. She later went on to attend Interstate Business College.
She married Helmuth F. Wolter on October 20, 1946 in Fargo, ND.
Beverly worked as a secretary for Olivet Lutheran Church from 1940 – 1942; the U.S. Army Officers’ Candidate School, NDSU from 1942-1945; and the Veterans Administration Hospital, Fargo from 1945-1947. She returned to Olivet Lutheran Church as secretary from 1966. Although she "retired" in 1987, she continued to be very involved with church, working part time, volunteering, and attending circle, Bible study and quilting with the quilting ladies.
She is survived by her children, Linda Wolter, Fargo, ND; Roger (Connie) Wolter, Kirkland, WA; Susan (David) Gable, Mashpee, MA, and Diane (Mark Gealy) Wolter, Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Mae, and brother, Leon
