Betty Toppen, 84, of Fargo, formerly of Kindred, ND, died Friday, October 2, 2009 at Innovis Health, Fargo, ND. Betty June Richards was born June 8, 1925 to William and Bessie (Vigness) Richards in rural Moorhead, MN on the family farm. She married Raymond Toppen, November 9, 1974 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN. She is survived by one brother, Melvin (Pat) Richards, Moorhead, MN; sister, Carol Moen, Mayville, ND; sister-in-law, Mae Richards, Moorhead, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond, sisters, Eleanor, Mabel and Margaret; brothers, Roy and Thomas. Funeral: Tuesday, October 6, 2009, 10:30 AM at Pioneer Chapel – Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at Elim Care Center. Burial: Perhus Cemetery, rural Kindred, ND.
