Bert William Holvik was born on June 3, 1930 to Jesse Raymond Holvik and Beulah Adwell Holvik in Granite Falls, MN.
He served in the United States Navy from 1947 to 1955.
Bert entered the insurance industry which became his life’s career in 1957.
On November 3, 1963 he was married to Barbara Ann Gosling in Rochester, MN.
In 1973 they moved to Fargo, ND. In 1985 Bert opened his own independent insurance agency. He later sold the agency but continued to work there until he retired in 2003.
Bert was active in his church, First Congregational UCC in Fargo, ND, serving in numerous positions over the years.
Bert enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and playing bridge.
He was a friend to many including Bill W.
Bert was a devoted husband to his wife Barbara for the last 49 years.
Bert is survived by his wife Barbara of Fargo, ND and his sister Lois (Herb) Howe of Rochester, MN.
