Bernece Steichen, 84, of Moorhead, MN, died peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2007, at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, ND. Bernece May Joyce was born May 22, 1923 in Harvey, ND to John and Amelia (Reiling) Joyce. She married Carroll Steichen on Nov. 22, 1947. Bernece enjoyed crafts, gardening, and socializing. After retirement, Bernece and Carrol enjoyed many years living as snowbirds in Yuma, AZ. Bernece is survived by her children, Jim (Nancy) Steichen, Lake Park, MN; Carol Skarie, Fargo, ND; Jerry (Kathy) Steichen, Waskom, TX; Connie (Bob) Perez, Denver, CO; Jeff Steichen, Fargo, ND; her brother, John Joyce, California, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Steichen, and parents John and Amelia Joyce. Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at 2:00 PM, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to funeral service. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
