Arnold “Arnie” Deppa, 60, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, February 29, 2020, at his home under the care of Hospice.

Arnold Wayne was born December 20, 1959 to Roger and Florence (Robinson) Chwialkowski in St. Cloud, MN. He grew up in Bemidji, MN and attended area schools. He entered the US Army in 1977 to 1980. After the Army, he worked as a roofer and other construction jobs.

Arnie married Siobhan Hoffner, June 17, 2006 at Buckstop Junction, Bismarck, ND. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Vikings and the Twins. He enjoyed going out to eat, watching TV, country music and playing with their dog.

Some of his last visits with family, he talked of his fond memories of growing up with so many siblings and his mother was his hero. He also really enjoyed his last outings with his children and spoke of them often.

Arnie is survived by his wife, Siobhan; children, Kristin Deppa; Angel (Will) Lentz; Drayton, ND; Eric Deppa, Grand Forks, ND; Geoffrey McLatchy, Lodi, CA; grandchildren, Austin Deppa, Valley City, ND; Cleveland Jerome and Emily Jerome, both of Drayton, ND; mother, Florence, Bemidji, MN; siblings, Jeff (Debbie) Deppa, Blackduck, MN; Denise (Randy) Deppa, Cosmos, MN; Lona Chwialkowski, Solway, MN; Kevin Chwialkowski, Buffalo, MN; Corey Chwialkowski, New Richmond, WI and Colleen Chwialkowski, Rosemount, MN; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Zephyr.

He was preceded in death by his father; nephew, Mike Deppa; and father and mother-in-law, SF “Buckshot” and Patricia Hoffner.
