Arlys Ann Hagen was born to Louis and Vella (Kinsey) Hemmingson April 6, 1938 at Miller, South Dakota. This was where she grew up and received her education in the public school.

She and Clifford Hagen were married November 27, 1955. Due to Clifford’s employment, the family moved several times. In addition to raising three sons, Larry, Gary and Mike, Arlys established homes in Redfield, Gettysburg and Aberdeen, SD and finally Fargo. Arlys worked for the Fargo Public Schools until retirement.

Arlys died November 10, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. She is survived by her husband, Cliff; sons, Larry (Dorinda) Hagen, Turtle River State Park, ND; Gary Hagen, Fargo, ND; Michael (Lesa) Hagen, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Keely and Braden Hagen and Seena and Addi Hagen; sisters, Dorothy Hemmingson, Evelyn Lichty, and Joan (Wayne) Horsly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Gladys Speirs.
