Ann Marie
Classon
July 11, 1963 – March 30, 2026
Ann Marie Classon, 62 of Lake Park, MN passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Sunnyside Care Center with her sister by her side. Ann was born on July 11, 1963 in Fargo, ND to Douglas & Arlene (Vangnes) Classon. Ann attended Clara Barton Elementary, Washington Elementary, Ben Franklin, and Fargo South High. Upon graduation Ann was able to live at New Horizons Manor where her sister Mary Beth Classon also lived. After she was unable to live at New Horizons any longer she then moved to Sunnyside Care Center in March of 2002. Ann's last job was working at Sam's Club.
Ann was always a very determined person. She was able to accomplish almost everything she set her mind to. She attended Moorhead Technical College and received a secretarial degree. Ann's first job was working for HandiWheels Transportation which she loved. She also worked at a bank in Fargo.
Ann and Mary Beth used to attend as many NDSU and Red Hawks games as they could. They were avid sports fans. They would also wheel themselves down to church, grocery shopping, took the bus wherever they wanted to go, and enjoyed each other so much. Their sister Julie would also take them many times on outings.
Ann was very faithful and always said when she got to Sunnyside that God sent her there to be a missionary. She held a little Bible study for the residents there. Ann was also very proud to call Sunnyside Care Center her home and she loved that she lived on a lake.
Ann has had so many dear friends and always wanted people to know how much she loved them.
In honor of Ann's love for the NDSU Bison, MN Vikings, MN Twins, and The Wild the family invites you to wear your favorite sports attire to the service.
Waiting for her in heaven are her parents, Douglas and Arlene (Vangsnes) Classon; her sister, Mary Beth Classon; along with her grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as friends.
Ann is survived by her sister, Julie (Classon) Jacobson; nieces, Jamie Vincent, Jennifer Vincent (Tony Sellner), and Erica Werner (Michael Reff); great-nephew, Benjamin Wilson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ann's family and friends would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the staff at Sunnyside Care Center for the years of support, love, and care they showed Ann. Also, a thank you to HIA Hospice for the care they showed Ann the last 2 weeks of her life.
