Alice Yaeger

Alice J. Yaeger, 100, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Bethany Homes, Fargo. Alice Jeanette Borg was born April 16, 1909, in Valley City, North Dakota, daughter of John and Anne (Kjelland) Borg. She was the fifth of thirteen children. She graduated from high school in Valley City in 1928. Alice married Ralph Yaeger on September 10, 1930. They lived near Valley City until they moved to Fargo in 1942. Alice was very active at St. John Lutheran Church in Fargo for many years making quilts, belonging to a circle and working on the Altar Guild. She is survived by three sisters, Sadie Sargent, Jamestown, ND; Alma (Richard) Hager, Valley City, ND; Ruth (Marshall) Wilson, Avon Lake, OH; a brother, Lynn (Lillian) Borg, Roseburg, OR; three daughters, Naomi (Dean) Bartle, Fargo, ND; Evelyn (Robert) Harris Saginaw, MN; Corrine (Michael) Yaeger-Von Birgelen, Cincinnati, OH; son-in-law, Larry Longtine, Lake Park, MN; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her son, Lyle; her daughter, Darlene; five brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren. Funeral Service: Friday, May 8, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
