Alfred "Tolly" Ralph Tollefson

Alfred “Tolly” Tollefson, 88, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Bethany on University in Fargo.

Alfred Ralph Tollefson was born October 21, 1929 in Robinson, ND to Theodore and Lois (Persohn) Tollefson. He attended school and graduated from West Fargo High School, after which he received his degree from Dakota Business College.

In 1951 Tolly enlisted into active service in the United States Air Force, for which he proudly served until 1954.

He married Elaine Evenson in West Fargo, ND on September 2, 1955 and together they had two children, Kristi and Mark

He worked various different jobs, retiring from the insurance industry in 1991. His wife, Elaine, died January 6, 1993.

Tolly married Ruth Fischer on July 19, 1994 in Fargo, ND.

In retirement, Tolly enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards, bingo, and was active at Calvary United Methodist in Fargo for many years.

Tolly is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, Kristi Jo Tollefson, Fort Worth, TX; Mark Alan, Fargo, ND; step-children, Jerry Fischer, Fargo, ND; Judy (Larry) Ehnert, West Fargo, ND; Jeanie (Bill) Murrey, Fargo, ND; brother, Victor Tollefson; sister, Loretta Cofell; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
