Adeline I. Lee, 86, of Fargo, ND, died Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Halstad Living Center, Halstad, MN.
Adeline Irene Anderson was born January 15, 1926 in Shelly, MN to Knud and Petra (Oistad) Anderson. She was baptized and attended Zion Lutheran Church of Shelly, MN. She graduated from Halstad High School in 1944
After graduation, Adeline began working for Daveau’s Music in Fargo, ND. She held secretarial positions with accounting and insurance firms, but her true calling was her work with veterans at the Fargo Veterans Service Office.
Addy was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. She lived, worked and raised her family in Fargo for over sixty years. In 2005, Addy moved to the Halstad Living Center. We are grateful for the loving care and attention she received there.
She is survived by son, Scott Lee, Mandan, ND; daughter, Sheila (Richard) Whitman, Orlando, FL; sister-in-law, Irene (Melvin) Anderson, Halstad, MN and nieces and nephews throughout ND and MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; parents; and siblings, Violet, Roger, Vernon, George, and Melvin Anderson and Pearl Strand.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Halstad Living Center and Hospice of the Red River Valley for making Addy’s last years safe and enjoyable.
Funeral: Tuesday, June 26, 2012, 2:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to services at Hanson-Runsvold.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
