Virginia “Ginny” Carlson, 90, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Bethany on University in Fargo.

Virginia Marceline Loomis was born February 6, 1928 in Fargo, ND to Eugene and Freda (Gustafson) Loomis. She grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central in 1946. She attended Fargo Business College for two years. She worked for three years at Kiefer Sales and later worked for Ed Schum Pontiac.

Ginny married Clifford Duane “Dewey” Carlson on May 29, 1948 in Fargo, ND. After raising their daughters, Ginny worked for First Bank & Trust Company for seven years.

Ginny was in a bowling league in her early days, attended bible study, bridge club, and many other activities that she enjoyed.

Ginny is survived by her daughters, Jackie Carlson, Fargo, ND and Connie (Tim) Kirchoff, Andover, MN; and brother, Gordon (Maureen) Loomis, Yreka, CA.

She was preceded by her husband; parents; and sisters, Donna Breyer and Betty Ehlers.
