Viola Anderson, 97, of Fargo, ND, was called to her eternal resting place on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Eventide Fargo.

Viola Lillian Meyer entered this world on November 1, 1922 in Cayuga, ND, born to Reinhold and Olivia (Siam) Meyer. She married Elmer Anderson on April 23, 1941 in Forman, ND at Trinity Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm in Gwinner until moving into town in 1960.

Viola worked at North Sargent School in Gwinner as a cook for 15 years until she retired. They then made their home in Fargo.

She is survived by son, Daniel (Peggy) Anderson, Lake City, SD; daughters, Deanne (Kent) Week, Mesa, AZ; Debra (Gary) Chesley, Fargo, ND; sister, Norma Repko, Jamestown, ND; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; son, Dennis; son, David; great-granddaughter, Sophia Mae Anderson; and great-grandson, Kade Ohnstad.

Visitation will be from noon-1pm on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND.
