Solveig Edwardson died at St. Catherine’s South (formerly Villa Maria) on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Solveig Evangeline Aasen was born October 14, 1928, on the family farm in Steele County, North Dakota.

She attended a rural one-room schoolhouse and graduated from Mayville High School in 1946. She moved to Fargo to attend Interstate Business College and was employed by Retail Credit Company (now Equifax) for 13 years.

Solveig and Glenn Edwardson were married on February 14, 1959, in Moorhead. Solveig enjoyed flower gardening, crossword puzzles, and bird watching. Hummingbirds were her favorite. She also treasured her many long-term friendships of 60+ years. She is survived by three children: Sonja (Ross) Lougheed (Fargo), Greg (Sue) Edwardson (Portland), and Mark (Judy) Edwardson (Fargo), and three grandchildren: Aaron and Grace Lougheed and Rikka Edwardson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her parents, Edward and Alma (Nelson) Aasen, and her brother and sister-in-law David and Phyllis Aasen.
