Robert E. Sussex 85, of Fargo passed away on January 15, 2019 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Bob was born to George and Elsie (McFarlane) Sussex in Hope, ND on March 25, 1933. He grew up on a farm south of Hope and attended Hope Public School. After graduation he continued farming until his retirement. Bob married Arlene Simonson on June 18, 1956.

Bob was an active member of Occidental Lodge #27 in Hope, ND, Sunrise Lodge #130, and member of ElZagal Shrine in Fargo, ND. He was a member of Hope Lutheran (South) in Fargo.

Bob is survived by children, Shari (Kevin) Ihry Fargo, Kent (Deb) Sussex Hortonville, WI; grandchildren: Ryan (Kaysie) Sussex, Kimberly (Jamie) Nelis, Shiocton, WI, Robert (Katie) Ihry, Laura, Peter and Victoria Ihry; great grandchildren: Rhett, Ada, Maris Sussex, Miles, Oliver Ihry, and Simon Nelis. He is also survived by brother, Don (Lorraine) Sussex, brother-in-law, Bill (Marilyn) Parker and nephews, Brad (Martie), Mitch (Peggy), Doug (Peggy), Dan (Shelly) Parker and Boyd (Kathy) Sussex.

Bob was proceeded in death by his wife, Arlene.

Memorials are preferred to the Hope Cemetery Fund or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
