Lois Miller, 94, Fargo, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 in Bethany on University.

Lois Marquardt was born January 26, 1925, to Walter and Hazel (Sturdevant) Marquardt in Cayuga, ND. She attended school in Ellendale and Wahpeton, where she was valedictorian of her class. She also attended the ND State School of Science in Wahpeton and NDSU in Fargo.

On October 18, 1958, in St. Paul, Lois married Carl Miller. She was employed by the Highway Department, Bismarck and General Motors Acceptance Corporation, Fargo. Lois volunteered and was active with Friendship, Inc. throughout her life. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and a lifelong member of First United Methodist.

Lois is survived by a son, Douglas Miller, Fargo, ND; brother, Walter Marquardt, Longwood, FL; sister, Geraldine Schwartz, Fargo, ND; sister-in-law, Caroline Marquardt, Siren, WI. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gerald Marquardt.
