Judy Ann (Scott) Ernst, 71, of Fargo, passed away February 15, 2019 at Sanford Palliative Care surrounded by family.

Judy was born October 4, 1947, the second of 5 children born to G. Richard and Lorraine Scott in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Fargo, graduating from Central High School in 1965, later married and raised three children.
Judy attended key punch school and had numerous jobs in between the births of her 3 children. After her children were born, Judy had a daycare in her home until the children entered school. After her last child entered school, Judy attended and graduated from Interstate Business College. She worked at the Fargo Veteran’s Administration Hospital, first as a Ward Clerk and later as the Audiology Clerk. She also taught Sunday School at Elim Lutheran Church.

Judy retired and married LeRoy Ernst on July 6, 1996. She moved to the farm and enjoyed country living for several years. They returned to Fargo where she spent her time taking care of LeRoy and their home, researched her family’s genealogy, did cross stitching, and cared for Chloe, her adorable beagle.

Judy is survived by her husband LeRoy; children, Chad (Tricia) Fossen, Craig (Mari) Fossen, and Katie Fossen; grandchildren, Conner, Blake, Hanna, Brody, and Riley Fossen, all of Fargo. She also had 8 nieces and nephews. Judy is also survived by her sister, Coleen Mundal (Joe Laverdure), and brothers, Duane (Marilynn) Scott, Perry (Valerie) Scott, and Curtis (Susan) Scott.

Judy was preceded in death in death by her parents.
